Job Details

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Production Supervisor to join our fast-paced Manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our food production line, specifically within our bakery and snack food division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet the highest standards in safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all activities of the production staff on the floor, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
• Oversee the implementation and compliance of HACCP, SQF, and OSHA regulations within the production processes to ensure food safety and workplace safety.
• Monitor and control inventory of raw materials and finished goods to ensure a smooth production process.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members, promoting a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyze production reports to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all production equipment and facilities, scheduling regular inspections and repairs as necessary.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food production industry, specifically in bakery or snack food production.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and OSHA regulations and their application in a food production environment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of employees.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze information, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other production management software.
