Job summary

Prysmian in South Carolina is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead shop floor teams, ensure a safe work environment, and drive continuous improvement in quality and cost.

You will coordinate between groups such as logistics and maintenance, mentor associates, and utilize data from Excel and manufacturing systems to meet process goals.

Qualifications

• High School/GED Diploma is required.
• Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management/Engineering Technology or related technical discipline preferred.

Brief Summary Of Primary Duties

Specific Skills/Training Required

• Computer skills & ability that allow them to enter data, use email, and basic office programs.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to use written work instructions to complete task.
• Ability to use measuring equipment –including but not limited to OD tapes, calibers, micrometers.
• Hazardous Waste Training.
• First Responders Training.

Education

• High School/GED Diploma - required.
• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.

Experience

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience required.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience required.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience utilizing production data, KPIs, reporting tools, and operational metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Lean manufacturing exposure preferred.

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements

• Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas.
• Hearing Protection required in posted areas.
• Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors.
