Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, seeks a Project Superintendent to join Rural Hall, NC manufacturing. You will supervise 20-30 employees at the plant, directing production of HVAC structural frames and monitoring daily progress.

You will foster open communication, drive continuous improvement, and ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality on the shop floor. OT may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision.
• Understanding of manufacturing process flow, identifying bottlenecks and constraints.
• Knowledge of welding, structural steel processes, and pipe installation is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on; will spend 90% of time on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety, quality, and housekeeping
• Monitor employee productivity
• Provide positive feedback and constructive coaching and counseling when needed
• Monitor employee time and record keeping
• Prepare and submit production reports daily
• Comply with manufacturing build schedules
• Increase production output through lean principles
• Manage employee hours to fulfill orders under budget
• Review drawings to ensure production feasibility

• Able to effectively troubleshoot and permanently solve production issues
