Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to plan, direct and optimize daily manufacturing operations at the primary site.

The role requires leadership of supervisors, ensuring cost effective, quality production and a safe work environment, with involvement in incident investigations and policy compliance. Salary range is provided with a total rewards package and pre-screening steps.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience.
• Associate or higher college degree.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, manages and directs the work of production and other manufacturing supervisors.
• Ensures cost effective, quality production of products.
• Monitors cripples and losses due to production.
• Ensures safe working environment for employees/contractors.
• Participates in accident investigation process.
• Performs shift supervisors duties when necessary.
• Promotes positive employee relations.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
