Job summary

Production Superintendent – Casting role in Huntingdon, TN for an established aluminum manufacturer. This hands-on leadership position demands experience in aluminum casting, metals, foundry, rolling or other high-volume continuous manufacturing environments.

The leader will supervise hourly staff in a 24/7 operation, driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity and Lean initiatives while owning KPIs such as OEE, yield, and throughput.

Job description

We are seeking a Production Superintendent – Casting for an established aluminum manufacturer in Huntingdon, TN. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with experience in aluminum casting, metals, foundry, rolling, or another high-volume continuous manufacturing environment.

The Production Superintendent will lead supervisors and hourly production employees in a 24/7 operation while driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and continuous improvement.

This is a LEADER:

• Someone who is open minded, curious, problem solver, strong critically at problem solving and solutions
• Knows Safety leadership- see hazards, concerns, at risk behavior and be able to address and who is not afraid to have tough convos with workers when they need to improve , or pivot (not avoidance behavior)
• Bridge gap and strengthen middle management / leadership- a bit of gap between automators and managers
• Strategize processes, systems oriented
• Would be Tactile + strategic, to deal with day to day, escalations, best practices and be able to give pragmatic feedback
• Lean experience + methodology understanding
• Team Management and demonstrates leader qualities especially with front line

* Typically leads 30–80+ hourly employees, often through shift supervisors, in a 24/7 aluminum casting or rolling environment.

*This is a specialized superintendent role focused on safety, quality, productivity, scrap, downtime, staffing, labor planning, Lean/continuous improvement, and KPI ownership such as OEE, yield, and throughput. Union exposure should be clarified if applicable.

• In-depth knowledge of the casting process, the operation of equipment, aluminum alloys and

standards, use of precision instruments and customer orders and specifications.

PREFERRED

• Background in aluminum casting, metals, foundry, rolling, or similar heavy manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Experience managing production KPIs, staffing, safety, and quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
