Job summary

Umicore is hiring for a manufacturing role in New Jersey with 12-hour continental shifts. You will inspect finished goods, ensure quality and safety standards, and maintain a clean work area. The position requires a Grade 12 diploma and 2-3 years in manufacturing, with SAP and MS Office knowledge preferred.

This is a replacement role with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement. Being able to work independently, showing initiative, and adhering to health and safety guidelines are

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma required.
  • 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of 5S is a plus.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP and quality environment systems preferred.
  • Criminal Record Check required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished goods to ensure stamping, packaging, and labeling meet standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Produce products that meet Umicore quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Keep work area and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Key Accountabilities
This Position Is Responsible For
  • Inspection of finished goods to ensure that stamping, packaging, and labeling standards are met
  • Following all safety rules and guidelines
  • Producing products that meet Umicore quality standards and within customer specifications
  • Responsible for keeping work area and other areas clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 12-hour continental shifts
  • Commit to upholding, respecting, and ensuring compliance with the health and safety standards established by the company guidelines.
  • Actively promote a culture of care by collaborating on preventative measures and continuous improvement actions related to health and safety activities
Who we are looking for
Education And Experience

This position's education and experience requirements are:

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of 5S a plus
  • Computer literacy – Preferably with Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
  • Knowledge of SAP and experience in quality environment systems are preferred
  • Criminal Record Check required
