Job summary

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Production Senior Lead for the 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am, Sun–Thu) at the Byron Center plant. The role leads molding personnel, ensures schedules, safety, and quality, and uses PeopleSoft ERP for data collection.

Ideal candidates have prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong math skills, and fluency in English. High school GED preferred. Competitive benefits and 401k offered.

Qualifications

• Understand manufacturing processes and safety standards.
• Lead molding personnel to meet schedule and quality.
• Supervise a small team and report to supervisor.
• Proficient with ERP systems and basic data collection.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Able to perform basic math and use hand-held measuring tools.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Direct molding personnel to ensure timely production.
• Ensure safety and quality standards per policies and laws.
• Lead employees to meet production schedule and quality standards.
• Perform data collection in PeopleSoft (ERP).
• Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
• Verify orders and produce parts per specs with quality tolerance.
• Monitor and report issues to supervisor.
• Apply prior supervisory/lead experience as needed.

Senior Lead Primary Responsibilities:

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Direct molding personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor.
• Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP).
• Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
• Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
• Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems

Senior Production Lead Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
