Job summary

Sonoco is hiring a Production Worker in Munroe Falls, OH, a role within the tube and core division. You will join a fast-paced manufacturing team, support quality and safety initiatives, and work under the shift supervisor to ensure efficient production with attention to detail.

The position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, a willingness to work overtime, and collaboration with multiple departments. Prior manufacturing experience and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• You have at least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• You have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
• You can lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• You have previously held a Forklift Certification and safely operate a forklift.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
• You need to be able to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• You are reliable, initiative-driven, and quality focused, with teamwork.
• You can work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams.
• Thinking on your feet and troubleshooting problems and situations.
• Making incremental process adjustments, monitoring and reporting quality of manufactured product.
• Learning to set up new jobs, training on other lines and in other departments.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Helping out other departments as needed.
