Job summary

California Franchise Tax Board seeks a Production Specialist/Creative Services Lead to supervise Board meeting planning, event production, and multimedia branding efforts. You will collaborate with executives and staff to deliver polished, timely campaigns and internal communications.

As a Creative Services Lead, you will guide concept development, ensure high-quality visual design, and coordinate technical aspects such as lighting, streaming, and AV setup for major events.

The Marketing, Graphics, and Multimedia Services Unit is Franchise Tax Board’s (FTB) in-house marketing and multimedia specialists. Our mission is to deliver innovative marketing and multimedia solutions that create lasting impressions.

As the quarterly Board Meeting Production Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaboratively work with executives and production team members to ensure all aspects of the Board meeting planning and execution are completed timely and accurately. These aspects include project and task management during quarterly planning efforts, customer service to internal executives and external stakeholders, administrative support to schedule meetings and book in-person and virtual rooms, invite all attendees, and provide additional support as needed.

You will use your excellent customer service and organization skills to collaboratively work with executives and stakeholders to successfully execute additional projects, marketing strategies, and to meet internal and external customer expectations. You will serve as the team lead coordinating and supporting tasks and overseeing major events in FTB’s Goldberg Auditorium and/or other large venues, ensuring all team activities are well planned, supported, and executed.

In this role, you will also work as the Creative Services Lead to lead concept development into effective visual designs for branding, corporate communications, and marketing campaigns to promote internal and external campaigns such as FTB, Filing Season, the Earned Income Tax Credit program, e-service programs, Enterprise Data to Revenue, and more. In partnership with your team, you will coordinate the lighting, video conferencing, recordings, and live streaming in the FTB's Goldberg Auditorium and other rooms, as needed. You will oversee the production of videos created for the department as well as for use at board meetings to enrich presentations. You will work in a lead capacity to support your team with daily tasks and project work, creating and maintaining high morale and a positive work environment. You will champion innovative tools and processes to promote task and workload organization, scheduling, and reporting.
