Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Production Specialist to perform precision manufacturing in our Cesium Beam Tube cleanroom, assembling, wiring, and spot-welding small components using hand tools and specialized equipment.

The ideal candidate has basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks; training will be provided. First shift 6:30am–3:00pm; high school diploma required and 0–3 years experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and production equipment with care and precision.
• Maintain quality and follow training provided.
• Adhere to cleanroom PPE and safety practices.

Job Description:

The Production Specialist performs precision manufacturing and assembly operations in our Cesium Beam Tube (CBT) cleanroom. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and spot-welding small components using a variety of hand tools and specialized production equipment.

The ideal candidate has good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform precise, hands-on work. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

First shift 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or related hands-on experience.
• Comfortable working with hand tools.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform detailed and repetitive work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing, automotive, mechanical, electrical, or technical environment.
• Experience with wiring, spot welding, and/or precision assembly.
• Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.

Physical and Work Requirements:

• Ability to wear required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive and detailed hand movements.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $17.00 - $27.00.* *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
