Job summary

Sunny Sky Products in Douglassville, PA seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead daily production operations on a 3 AM-3:30 PM shift. You will oversee safety, quality, and productivity across the plant, driving continuous improvement and Lean initiatives while managing a team of production staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, enforcing food safety programs, reporting metrics, and collaborating across shifts to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent 5 years of experience in food and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to handle multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Team player with demonstrated team leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Overall knowledge of plant operations.
• Metrics-driven with the ability to operate autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of safety, quality, and production in the plant for an assigned shift.
• Leads, directs and executes on production, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Manages self and others assertively with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Maintains a safe working environment and safety records. Drives a Safety Perfect Culture.
• Responsible for ensuring full compliance and execution of food safety and food quality programs.
• Coordinates production schedules on their shift and collaborates with peers across all shifts.
• Leads attainment of Key Performance Indicators, KPIs.
• Communicates pertinent information to management.
• Leads the execution and attainment of Manufacturing Excellence in regard to Safety, Quality, Productivity/Cost Performance, Service, Employee Morale, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Coordinates training of associates.
• Assists in selection, qualification, and evaluation of associates.
• Conducts all duties required in the supervision of all day shift production employees.
• Completes daily area inspections of plant floor operations.
• Communicates progress on production goals to workforce regularly.
• Ensures compliance with organization’s policies and procedures.
• Is involved in specialty projects, as assigned.
• Assesses work performance of associates to ensure expectations are met.Drives daily accountability.
• Provide leadership and direction to department employees.
• Identify and analyze problems, create and implement solutions.
• Seeks to understand root causes and drives a culture of continuous improvement.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities within organization policies

Our company is rapidly growing and is seeking passionate people to join our team. We currently operate production 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We Are Currently Seeking For

Crew D- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday every other Saturday 3 AM-3:30 PM

Objectives

Provides a safe work environment for all associates while maintaining continuous improvement of production operations, safety and quality metrics, service levels, and employee morale. Ensures the Quality Improvement Process and Team leadership are employed within areas of responsibility. Controls cost and assets managed within established goals. Provides timely, accurate, and consistent reports (safety, production, cost, human resources, administrative, etc.) for the area of responsibility that is plant wide and covers all shift functions.

Day To Day Responsibilities
