Job summary

MetOx International, headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks a Supervisor Production Shift to lead a manufacturing team and ensure efficient, safe operations. The role emphasizes maintaining equipment integrity, meeting specifications, and driving continuous improvement.

You will schedule shifts, mentor staff, monitor performance, and present progress to management, aiming to optimize production output while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or Internal: 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience mentoring, leading, or supervising teams.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and shift pass-downs, and maintain responsiveness to operational communications outside standard working hours as required.
• Internal: Must be fully certified on all tools and in good standing with no write-ups or performance issues in the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks and responsibilities among team members to meet production targets
• Develops and maintain shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing and uninterrupted operations
• Oversees daily production activities to ensure smooth workflows and eliminate bottlenecks
• Supports operational continuity by maintaining schedule flexibility, including overtime and weekend work as needed, participating in shift pass-downs that may require early arrival or late departure, and remaining responsive to team communications (e.g., Slack) outside standard hours when required.
• Provides training and guidance to employees on the safe and effective use of manufacturing and metrology equipment, reinforcing best practices and compliance with safety protocols
• Monitors team performance, track progress toward goals, and provide timely feedback
