Job summary

New Pig Corporation seeks a Production Shift Lead for the 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in Duncansville. You will steer the hourly production team to work safely, produce quality products, and meet customer requirements.

You’ll drive lean manufacturing practices, lead shift meetings, track attendance and hours, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leader capable of coaching, developing, and engaging team members.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Able to provide constructive feedback and develop people.
• Familiar with shipping/receiving processes in manufacturing.
• Able to operate powered industrial trucks or willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Be the working leader of the 3rd shift manufacturing production team in Duncansville
• Ensure the production of the internal or external customer’s demands while following the standards related to EHS, People Contribution, Quality, Delivery, Production Control and Equipment Efficiency
• Lead the 3rd shift production team in Duncansville to meet daily production scheduling requirements while ensuring all products are made to standard work and quality requirements.
• React quickly and resolve problems encountered during production.
• Lead weekly shift meetings and other information sharing activities as needed
• Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked
• Update any/all daily production reports, status updates, etc.
• Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards

Primary responsibility of the 3rd shift Lead is to lead the day-to-day activities of the hourly production team in order to work safely, produce quality products and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Be the working leader of the 3rd shift manufacturing production team in Duncansville
• Ensure the production of the internal or external customer’s demands while following the standards related to EHS, People Contribution, Quality, Delivery, Production Control and Equipment Efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

• Secondary education in technical/business field or practical manufacturing management experience
• Strong leader able to coach, develop and engage team members
• Experience and/or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Respectful of people – able to provide both positive/developmental feedback to develop people
• Appropriate knowledge of MFG shipping and receiving processes
• Demonstrated ability to operate the different types of powered industrial truck or willing to be trained
• First responder certified with training in basic first aid and CPR/AED
• Has basic technical knowledge of New Pig products and processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience with shop floor management software on PC-based platforms preferred (Factory tracker, Flow, Syteline, Trend, etc.)
