Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Knoxville, TN seeks a production supervisor to oversee daily operations, enforce clean room and GMP procedures, and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing. The role requires coordinating with maintenance, procurement, and quality control while developing schedules and training staff.

You will resolve issues, implement SOPs, and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiency. A Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of supervisory experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; in lieu of degree additional years of relevant experience and/or training/education may be considered.
• 2-3 years' experience as an individual contributor senior role; or 1-3 years' experience as a Supervisor.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines for finished goods drug manufacturing.
• Understanding of lean principles.
• A solid understanding of SPC and statistical techniques.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the team, including setting mutual goals and schedules.
• Enforce clean room procedures and GMP compliance.
• Troubleshoot machinery and assist maintenance.
• Coordinate production with procurement, maintenance and QA to optimize resource use.
• Develop and implement operating methods to improve quality and reduce issues.
• Plan production operations and prioritize manufacturing activities.
• Inspect equipment and area for performance and compliance.
• Train and evaluate staff; manage performance and discipline as needed.
• Prepare and analyze production data and maintain SOPs.
