Job summary

Tellus Products, LLC is seeking a Production Shift Lead to supervise Fiber, Molding, and Packaging operations. This role requires readiness to cover the Shift Supervisor and ensure daily duties are completed with quality and safety standards in mind.

The ideal candidate has Fiber/Molding experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work varied hours. This is a full-time position based in the US manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience in Fiber and/or Molding roles.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible, reliable and well organized.
• Good verbal, reading, writing and basic math skills.
• Physically able to perform duties; lift 25–60 pounds; stand up to 11 hours.
• Able to walk stairs (3 steps) and work weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in Fiber, Molding and Packaging areas.
• Cover for Shift Supervisor when needed.
• Complete and send shift-related reports.
• Motivate, lead and manage team; ensure duties are performed.
• Report major discrepancies to management (process, safety, personnel).
• Monitor attendance, tardiness, breaks and time off for shifts.
• Understand end-to-end manufacturing processes; troubleshoot as needed.
• Adhere to GMP and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Follow health and safety rules and regulations.
• Other tasks as assigned.

OVERVIEW

Our manufacturing company needs a full-time Production Shift Lead who is responsible for assisting in supervising all operations including Fiber, Molding and Packaging. He/She must be able to cover for the Shift Supervisor position when needed. The Production Shift Lead must also verify that the team is performing all daily duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Ensure quality standards are met and upheld
• Ability to cover for Shift Supervisor when needed
• Be able to complete and send out all shift related reports
• Possess the skills to motivate, lead and manage your team and ensure all duties are performed accurately
• Report any major discrepancies to management including process, safety or personnel related
• Help Shift Supervisor with monitoring all attendance, tardiness, breaks and time off
• Understand the entire Fiber, Molding and Packaging process and troubleshoot as necessary
• Utilize good manufacturing practices and ensure work is complete to required standard
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and identifies hazards that may arise
• Follow all health and safety rules and regulations
• Any other tasks required from time to time may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have prior experience in Fiber and/or Molding roles
• High school diploma or GED required
• Forklift Certified
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be flexible, reliable and well organized
• Work and disciplinary record will be considered
• Good verbal, reading, writing and basic math skills
• Physically able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching and pulling.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 11 hours per shift
• Must be able to walk upstairs a minimum of 3 steps
• This position requires the flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as needed based on business needs.
