Southern Industries is looking for an experienced handyman to join us as a Service Tech.

We are seeking a qualified Service Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess computer skills, be proficient in math, and able to accurately read a tape measure. Experience in Windows, Siding, Carpentry, or Construction is required.

Our Techs provide homeowners with accurate measurements, repairs, and assessments to ensure that our products look great and meet customer expectations. We sell and service products such as Gutters, Windows, Vinyl Siding, Bath & Shower remodels, and Attic Insulation.

What You’ll Do

• Service all products accurately and professionally
• Assist the Production Manager
• Maintain and clean company vehicle, and take it for service as needed
• Support installation jobs by yourself or as part of a team when needed
• Help in the Warehouse with cleaning, organizing, unloading trucks, prepping materials, and picking up materials
• Represent the company positively, striving for 100% customer satisfaction
• Provide complete and accurate feedback upon job completion
• Maintain a positive attitude, be a team player, and know our CORE Values
• Arrive on time, ready to work according to schedule

And all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Self-starter, assertive, able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Availability Monday through Friday, with some evenings and occasional Saturdays
• Experience in Carpentry, Trim Carpentry, Construction, or In-home Renovation
• Ability to use a metal brake is a plus
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment
• Ability to take accurate measurements using tape measure, level, and square
• Proficiency with power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.)
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Basic math skills and ability to understand detailed instructions
