Job summary

Schaefer Plastics is seeking a Production Scheduling Assistant to coordinate customer orders, production schedules, work orders, and inventory with Production, A&P, Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, and Materials.

The role involves preparing schedules, reviewing orders, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with data entry and digitalization of records. This position requires collaboration across office and shop floor teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in production scheduling or manufacturing administration preferred.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize multiple requests and adjust priorities when schedules change.
• Clear communication with office and production teams.
• Ability to read work instructions and order details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute production schedules and work order packages for Production and A&P.
• Review box orders and cart work orders for scheduling information.
• Prepare work orders and graphic orientation forms for inventory stock.
• Maintain records of completed production and A&P work orders and tags.
• Record completed work orders and provide to Shipping for verification.
• Identify authorized work orders for the Shipping Coordinator.
• Provide Raw Material Handler with daily material requests.
• Respond to order and schedule questions from Sales and Customer Service.
• Convert paper records to digital files using company systems.
• Perform related administrative work and assist other departments as needed.
