Job summary

Allient Inc. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is seeking a Production Scheduling Intern to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations by supporting the creation, coordination, and optimization of production schedules.

You will work closely with schedulers and cross-functional teams to align demand with capacity and inventory requirements. The role offers exposure to MRP processes, Master Production Scheduling, and risk identification to keep production on track while learning in a dynamic,

Qualifications

Pursuing a related degree (sophomore standing or higher)
Strong attention to detail with accuracy in data entry and analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under direct supervision and grow in independence

Responsibilities

Help generate and validate work orders using MRP processes, ensuring timely release to manufacturing.
Support monitoring and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule, including identifying root causes for delays.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering teams to track build plans, backorder status, and potential schedule interruptions.
Help identify risks impacting the production schedule (e.g., material shortages, equipment downtime, labor constraints) and propose potential mitigation options
Perform other related duties as assigned.
