Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking an operationally minded Production Scheduler to drive daily production plans from the weekly supply plan, optimize labor efficiency, and leverage SAP for accuracy.

You will coordinate with Accounting, Technical Services, R&D, Supply Planning, and Business Management to drive new product development, manage raw materials and inventory, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant work experience; or a combination of education and experience, required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and technical skills with forecasting ability and accuracy in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling & Execution: create daily schedules from the weekly supply plan; optimize labor efficiency and use SAP for accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with Accounting, Technical Services, R&D, Supply Planning, and Business Management to drive new products and implementations.
• Inventory & Material Management: manage raw materials, inventory rotation, stock transfers, and finished goods.
• Communication & Customer Focus: ensure clear communication across teams for smooth workflows and high customer satisfaction.
