Job summary

TuscoMFG in Gnadenhutten, OH is seeking a Production Scheduler to own the master production schedule across Laser/Turret, Form, Press Direct, Weld, Finishing, and Assembly. You will sequence incoming orders, align capacity, and ensure accurate ERP data to drive on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes direct communication with team leads, the Production Manager, and the Director of Operations & Facilities Management to recover schedule gaps and keep production flowing smoothly on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production scheduling, planning, or production control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ERP/MRP proficiency (e.g., Epicor, or comparable); comfortable owning schedule data directly in the system.
• Working knowledge of job-shop, high-mix/low-volume production flow, and routing logic.

Responsibilities

• Schedule—Build and maintain the daily and weekly production schedule across all departments based on due dates, capacity, and material/tooling availability.
• Maintain schedule integrity in the ERP system; keep job status, routing steps, and due dates current and accurate.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on material availability that affects schedule feasibility.
• Walk the floor regularly to verify actual job status against the published schedule.
• Follow up with Team Leads and operators when a job is behind and document the reason.
• Follow up with the Production Manager when a department-level or cross-department delay puts the schedule at risk and documents the stated recovery plan.
• Flag recurring schedule-adherence issues with supporting detail; escalate to the Director of Operations & Facilities Management when needed.
• Communicate schedule changes clearly and with lead time for departments to react.
• Publish daily schedule-adherence and on-time delivery metrics; provide capacity and load visibility for staffing decisions.
