Job summary

Interconnect Wiring in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Scheduling Assistant to help optimize production capacity and sequencing. You will enter jobs in our production system, calculate production times, and communicate schedule changes to affecting departments.

You will monitor MRP, support Purchasing with supplier date changes, generate schedules with MS Project, and develop macros and reports to improve efficiency. Attention to detail and strong data entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Good computer and data entry skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Access.
• Ability to analyze complex issues regarding material availability, labor demand, plant capacity, customer delivery, and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production capacity and determine priority and sequence for production.
• Accurately calculate production times based on variable factors and communicate schedule changes to affected departments.
• Maintain production schedules so shipping and job delivery dates meet customer requirements; enter manufacturing jobs into the production system.
• Enter changes to existing sales orders, such as shipping dates, job delivery dates, job classifications, and build locations.
• Monitor the MRP system and support Purchasing with supplier delivery date changes into the production schedule.
• Generate production schedules using MS Project and assist with development and maintenance of macros, reports, spreadsheets, MS Project files, and MS Access databases.
