Job summary

NOV in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Production Planner to issue and track work orders, ensuring alignment with the Master Production Schedule and updated changes from the Master Scheduler. You will verify documents, routings, traveler packets, and maintain real-time status of production orders to support on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include recording labor, materials, and machine time, reconciling planned versus actual progress, and providing WIP and backlog reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• 2-4 years experience in project management, production control, planning, purchasing or manufacturing.
• Understanding of ERP/MRP planning system operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Teams, Word); Oracle ERP a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify that labor, materials, and machine time are accurately recorded and posted.
• Support cycle time tracking, variance analysis, and production traceability.
• Maintain real-time status updates of active production orders.
• Reconcile discrepancies between planned vs. actual progress.
• Provide reports on WIP, completions, and order backlogs to the Master Scheduler or Operations leadership.
• Reconcile planned vs. applied hours to completed work orders; address variances with updates.
• Participate in production meetings to provide updates and direction from the Master Scheduler.
