Job summary

Bachmann Chemical & Engineering seeks a Production Scheduler to develop and implement daily production schedules at our Torrington, CT site. You will coordinate with S&OP, Procurement, and Operations to ensure on-time manufacturing and optimal resource use.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in planning/scheduling, a B.S. in a related field, and experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards. Strong analytical and Lean/Six Sigma capabilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Planner and Scheduler role.
• Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline, or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily production schedules to ensure timely work order completion.
• Print Work Orders daily and assign WOs to the floor.
• Meet Lines Shipped On Time (LSOT) by coordinating with S&OP, Procurement, Production, and Quality.
• Represent production in daily production meetings and provide status updates.
• Monitor and adjust the schedule and communicate changes to affected departments.
• Balance supply to demand by managing resources and capacity constraints.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to identify bottlenecks and improve schedules.
• Maintain visibility of the daily schedule and share metrics with managers.
• Maintain electronic records of production schedules and organize information for cross‑functional teams.
