Job summary

Bell Lumber & Pole Company in Sidney, NE is seeking a Production Scheduler & Inventory Coordinator to coordinate inventory, production schedules, load readiness, and deliveries, connecting Operations, Dispatch/Logistics, and Sales teams. This hands-on role supports daily production goals and timely shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Community college or technical coursework is preferred.
• Prior experience in production scheduling, inventory control, logistics, yard/plant operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify counts of inbound and outbound loads against shipping, inventory, and load docs.
• Prepare and verify load readiness with correct product, quantities, tagging and documentation.
• Coordinate pick lists with dispatcher and communicate shipping priorities to teams.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate production tagging for accurate identification and inventory control.
• Meet daily with Production to ensure plans meet customer lead times.
• Facilitate production and shipping meetings to review schedules and changes.
• Conduct weekly meetings with Sales to discuss lead times and orders.
• Monitor restocks for customer-held inventory and reference minimums.
• Track untreated inventory levels and wood needs to support timely arrivals.
• Create kiln and framing schedules aligned with orders and priorities.
• Provide LumberTrack support and issue resolution for timely data.
