Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. seeks a Production Scheduler to coordinate the scheduling and processing of 2,500–5,000 production orders yearly across multiple departments. The role includes expediting purchases and ensuring inventory accuracy to support on-time production and shipping.

Responsibilities include using reports to plan picking schedules, expediting materials, and maintaining stock and BOM parameters. Collaboration with supervisors and internal customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in production control, inventory control or operating systems.
• Ability to express job demands verbally and in written or electronic communications clearly to supervision, peers and operating personnel.
• Must be capable of operating personal computer.
• Moderate knowledge or better of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is desirable.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to meet operational deadlines during times of stress and peak activity.

Responsibilities

• Using available system generated reports to plan and execute appropriate picking schedule for stores and sales orders.
• Using shortage reports and At Risk reports to expedite material to meet production orders and shipment dates.
• Monitor production and inventory status reports to ensure operations can proceed as planned and provide material availability dates to internal customers.
