EKL Machine Company, an established tooling manufacturing and engineering firm in Andalusia, PA, seeks a proactive planner to join our precision machine shop workforce. The role focuses on creating master schedules, daily production plans, and accurate estimates to meet customer commitments.

Qualified candidates have 3-5 years in a planning function within manufacturing, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a planning function in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Customer service oriented to both internal and external customers/employees
• Must have strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in PC skills including Word and Excel; required. Experience with ERP systems such as ORACLE; a plus
• Excellent organizational skills: Ability to prioritize work and multi-task

Responsabilidades

• Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
• Develop daily material schedules and production plans for company orders to meet customer commitment dates
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, material, equipment, and labor estimates involved in assigned products, projects, or services
• Provide preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans and specifications
• May specialize according to particular service performed, type of product manufactured, or phase of work involved
• Coordinate efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production personnel
• Review and plan requirements for internal plant work orders
• Build and update necessary “Bills of Material” and “Routings” as required in conjunction with CSR and Corporate Accounting
• Utilize MRP system as needed, maintain integrity of system and monitor reports such as “Shop Floor” and “Close / Complete”
• Work with Sales and Customer Service to implement customer order changes into proper production schedules
• Distribute hard copies of daily schedules to appropriate plant personnel
• Participate in daily plant production meetings and other plant and company meetings as required
• Assist Plant General Manager with any other duties or responsibilities as required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

• Provide preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans and specifications.
• May specialize according to particular service performed, type of product manufactured, or phase of work involved, such as tool and fixture costs, production costs, construction costs, or material costs.
• Coordinate efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production personnel.
• Review and plan requirements for internal plant work orders. (WIP and subassemblies)
• Build and update necessary “Bills of Material” and “Routings” as required in conjunction with CSR and Corporate Accounting.
• Utilize MRP system as needed, maintain integrity of system and monitor reports such as “Shop Floor” and “Close / Complete”.
• Work with Sales and Customer Service to implement customer order changes into proper production schedules.
