Job summary

OBE is seeking a production scheduler to maximize OTIF performance by reviewing production schedules and coordinating material flow from presses to shipping docks. The role reports to the production/plant manager and emphasizes safe operations, on-time orders, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities include monitoring upcoming shipments, analyzing backorder data, and aligning daily targets with leadership. Strong communication and ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous manufacturing and/or scheduling experience preferred.
• Able to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, multitask, and prioritize.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks are performed safely following safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor orders shipping today through the next 3 days to guarantee execution.
• Analyze the EPICS backorder report to troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions.
• Facilitate departmental schedule reviews to align leadership on daily targets and OTIF focus.
• Evaluate bookings to finite capacity for realistic workflow.
• Review Insulbar open orders to ensure dual mate alignment and availability.
• Audit back to press orders to see if they can be closed or rerouted to millstock.
• Follow up with upstream departments that owe materials to downstream processes.
• Follow up on actionable requests from previous shifts or the day.
• Provide hands-on assistance to accelerate fast track items and expedited orders for premier accounts
