Job description

Responsible for executing the production planning as directed by the Master Production Planner toward the goal of delivery to the customer’s request date. This will include carrying out the daily scheduling for assigned production areas, including production order releasing with understanding of the production capacity.

This is a 1st Shift position; shift hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Release and follow up on production orders as required, ensuring the correct scheduling according to the customer’s needs.
  • Attend the daily Production Meeting where schedule updates are discussed an aligned
  • Responsible for communicating if cycle times are not clearly defined on all production orders for manufacturing associates.
  • Use SAP reporting – COOIS (Production Order Information System), which is all created work orders by line to determine planning versus capacity.
  • Monitor the SAP data to review the production capacity and demand by guiding the internal efforts toward meeting the customer’s delivery commitments.
  • Keep the Team Coordinators updated about the ongoing activities to mitigate the chances of errors and delays.
  • Problem solving low and medium complexity using 4 steps and 8D’s as needed.
  • Work closely with cycle counting, planning, and purchasing to resolve component’s shortages / problem parts.
  • Support all activities to continuously improve work effectiveness.
  • Wear the required protective equipment at all required times.
  • Accurately communicate information to co-workers and supervision.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • High School/GED and a proven history and ability in manufacturing production scheduling.
  • Thorough product / process knowledge of all areas of responsibility.
  • Understand production system in all areas of responsibility.
  • Must be dependable with a good attitude
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed.

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately high.

Must understand, comply with, and communicate with team members, all environmental, health, and safety legislation and regulation relevant to areas of responsibility. We must also train team members regarding these regulations where applicable.
