At Sunlight Batteries USA, we are driven by a shared purpose: to deliver innovative energy solutions that improve lives and protect the environment. Our team is passionate about advancing battery technology and energy storage systems that power industries and communities around the world.

Your Impact

As Sunlight Batteries USA continues to strengthen and develop its Planning organization, the Production Scheduler will play an important role in improving production visibility, execution, and coordination across our manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will serve as a key extension of the Planning team by supporting the day-to-day execution and maintenance of production schedules, analyzing operational data, monitoring schedule performance, and helping ensure production priorities remain aligned with customer and business requirements.

Your work will allow Site Planners to focus on broader planning, capacity, and strategic priorities while providing Operations with timely and accurate information needed to execute production plans effectively.

This is a tactical and developmental role that provides exposure to production planning, manufacturing operations, ERP systems, capacity management, data analytics, and cross-functional supply chain activities. The position can provide a foundation for continued growth within the Planning organization, including potential progression into future Planner opportunities.

What You’ll Do
Production Scheduling & Execution
  • Create, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, production capacity, and operational priorities.
  • Support Site Planners by maintaining schedules and communicating changes and priorities to Production and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor schedule attainment and identify potential risks that could affect production output or customer commitments.
  • Coordinate scheduling adjustments resulting from material shortages, labor constraints, equipment availability, and changing customer priorities.
  • Support the release and sequencing of production orders to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Escalate scheduling conflicts and execution risks to the appropriate Planning and Operations partners.
Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Collect, organize, and analyze operational data from SAP, production systems, and site reporting tools.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling, backlog, capacity, production output, and delivery-performance reports.
  • Track key performance indicators including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, backlog, capacity utilization, and production output.
  • Identify trends, exceptions, and potential areas for improvement and provide actionable information to Planners and Operations leadership.
  • Support the standardization and continuous improvement of planning and scheduling reporting.
Planner & Site Support
  • Provide day-to-day scheduling support to Site Planners and manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with demand reviews, capacity-planning activities, and production prioritization.
  • Support recovery plans for past-due orders and backlog reduction.
  • Partner closely with Production, Materials, Customer Service, Planning, and Operations to maintain alignment on manufacturing priorities.
  • Develop knowledge and capabilities across the broader Planning function in support of continued professional development.
ERP & Systems Support
  • Maintain accurate scheduling information within SAP and other applicable ERP/planning systems.
  • Ensure production dates, work-order statuses, scheduling information, and applicable planning parameters remain accurate and current.
  • Identify and help resolve data-integrity issues affecting scheduling and production execution.
  • Support ongoing improvements to ERP processes, planning tools, reporting, and scheduling practices.
What You’ll Bring
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, scheduling, materials, supply chain, operations, or a related environment preferred.
  • Relevant internships, co-op experience, education, or demonstrated transferable experience may also be considered.
  • Exposure to SAP, MRP, ERP, or similar manufacturing/business systems preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with operational data and reports.
  • Power BI or similar data-visualization experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Planning, Production, Materials, Customer Service, and Operations.
  • Interest in developing a career within production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
