Position Summary

Objective/Purpose of Position: Plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Ensures timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to meet financial goals and customer delivery dates.

• Production Scheduling
• Capacity Planning with Customers

Systems used include Syteline and Microsoft Office.

Team Interactions

• Participates in KATA Team, Production Team, Materials/Purchasing Team

Interacts with all functional areas including customer service, engineering, quality, purchasing, and production.

Responsibilities

Focuses on quality, delivery, safety, and efficiency. Weekly labor efficiencies are monitored.

Major Actions:

1. Evaluate Product Line Loads
2. Collaborate with customer service, materials, and production to address capacity and lead time concerns
3. Recommend capacity adjustments to customers
4. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve production impediments
5. Plan materials for production cells
6. Schedule job dates to match required run rates
7. Coordinate transportation and expedite materials daily

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years in manufacturing/furniture production and planning/scheduling.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven problem-solving ability (e.g., Kata Method)
• Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel
