Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production planner in Evansville, IN to deliver a well-planned schedule and work with multiple departments to improve performance. This role focuses on optimizing machine utilization, inventory control, and coordinating with suppliers to meet customer demands.

The candidate will support capacity planning, maintain safety standards, and help drive Amcor’s commitment to quality and efficiency within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of materials planning and inventory management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a well-planned production schedule.
• Collaborate with all departments to identify methods for performance improvements.
• Maximize machine efficiencies and maintain inventory levels to meet requirements.
• Monitor inventory control to cycle molds and printers.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for outsourcing as needed.
• Work with Customer Service to address issues.
• Provide management information on capacity and utilization for work centers.
• Ensure safety, environmental and department health requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Provide a well-planned production schedule
• Work with all departments to identify best methods for performance improvements
• Maximize machine efficiencies, maintain budgeted inventory levels to meet requirements
• Monitor inventory control to properly cycle molds and printers
• Work with sub-contractors to utilize outsourcing as needed
• Work with Customer Service Representatives to ensure all issues are addressed
• Provide management information regarding capacity and utilization for assigned work centers
• Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department health requirements

Authorities

• Change production schedule to best meet customer requirements, including priority list and weekend schedule
• Create and delete work orders to meet demand
• Acknowledge order dates to Customer Service
• Sub parts list to best utilize inventory consumption
• Maintain master data for assigned planner items
• Ensure Not Scheduled time recorded accurately

Qualifications

• 2-3 year's experience in materials planning and inventory management preferred or equivalent manufacturing experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong PC and analytical skills
• Strong organizational/time management skills
