Job summary

Samsung SDI America Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a production supervisor to lead hourly workforce development and daily performance.

You will collaborate with HR to design interviewing processes, implement training plans across positions, and drive daily accountability to meet safety, quality and production goals. The role requires organizing cross-functional meetings, managing timecards and attendance, and guiding continuous improvement through KPI tracking and LPA audits.

Qualifications

• Working Experience in a Production Plant Start Up.
• Lead Production Role is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Challenges with a Production Environment.
• Experience creating, implementing and monitoring KPIs (LPA, Quality, Safety, Delivery).
• Familiarity with MES systems, 5S and quality gates.
• Ability to manage start-of-shift documents and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR to build interviewing and hiring processes for hourly workforce.
• Create and implement a training plan for hourly staff across positions.
• Establish daily accountability to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Supervise hourly workers, team leaders and supervisors including attendance and timecards.
• Develop and monitor KPIs using LPA audits (Health, Safety, Quality, Ergonomics, Delivery).
• Lead daily production meetings and coordinate cross-functional problem-solving.
• Coordinate production activities with preventive maintenance plans.
• Oversee in-process buffer levels to support production goals.
