Job summary

Stepan Company in the United States is seeking a facilities and maintenance leader to drive planning and execution of production and maintenance activities. You will own work instruction development and operator training, ensure permits, and audit safety and compliance with EH&S across area activities.

You will also troubleshoot processes, coordinate emergency repairs, lead training for hourly personnel, and collaborate with engineering and production teams on safety, cost savings, and capital

Qualifications

• 5 years chemical processing experience, operations, and supervision.
• Solid comprehension of chemical and unit operations.
• Ability to facilitate troubleshooting efforts and team meetings.
• Effective problem-solving skills and demonstrated planning skills.
• Skilled in written and verbal communications.
• Talented in organizing information and multi-tasking.
• Available to respond to on-call emergencies and shutdowns.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate planning and execution of production and maintenance activities.
• Own maintenance and development of work instructions and operator training.
• Provide permits and audit maintenance and construction with EH&S.
• Drive safety culture and participate in investigations.
• Troubleshoot process or equipment with Production Day Leader.
• Coordinate emergency repair plans with maintenance and PPIC.
• Coordinate training for new employee qualifications and certifications.
• Support SAP and CMMS spend tracking and cost-saving efforts.
• Participate in capital project teams and scope development.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings across operations, maintenance, and projects.
