Job summary

Stepan Company is seeking a Production Leader to manage all aspects of the production area’s performance, including EH&S, quality, and reliability. You will supervise hourly employees and drive safe, efficient operations across planning, production and warehousing in a fast-paced chemical environment.

The role requires 5+ years in chemical operations and at least 3 years of management experience, with strong process knowledge and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years of chemical operations/manufacturing experience.
• 3 years minimum of management experience in manufacturing.
• Understanding of chemical process and production equipment.
• Experience using SAP to manage materials and data.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing (Planning, Production and Warehousing) to hit HSE, operational, financial and customer targets.
• Ensure safe operation of plant and equipment and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Train all employees in HSE to deliver performance.
• Promote and maintain a behavioral safety culture in operations.
• Set and deliver production plans and ensure capacity planning.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, propose next steps for capacity increases.
• Oversee stock accuracy in SAP and ensure data integrity for processes.
• Identify root causes of customer complaints and address cost-effectively.
• Identify technical and commercial needs to meet customer requirements.
• Manage team performance and recruit/discipline as needed.
• Manage budget with fixed-cost performance for manufacturing.
