Job summary

The candidate will rework boards and assist engineering with prototypes, while helping meet production goals. The position requires an Associate’s Degree or higher in electronics and at least three years of experience in testing,

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in electronics.
• Minimum of three years’ experience with software/hardware testing.
• Minimum of three years' experience with electrical troubleshooting in a factory setting.
• Minimum of three years' experience troubleshooting and debugging computer-controlled hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and test equipment.
• Proficient use of MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting of industrial analog and digital modules and devices at the component level, setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Review in-process failures for root cause and propose QA test procedures.
• Ability to rework boards using hot air rework, lead-free soldering, fine pitch soldering, reflow soldering and standard soldering techniques.
• Train partners on defects and repairs.
• Follow written work instructions and operation standards.
• Support production goals and wave soldering.
• Record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment and specifications to assist engineers.
• Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units.
• Assist engineering with prototype builds.
• Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing errors.
• Prioritize work to meet production/sales needs.
