Job summary

ASX Limited is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability and resilience of critical platforms. You will design and operate comprehensive monitoring, observability, and automation across production environments.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Architecture and Security to drive reliability, capacity planning and incident response, enabling secure and scalable services for Australia’s financial markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or production support environments.
• Scripting experience in Python, Java or PowerShell.
• Strong Linux/Windows, networking, distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployments.
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Observability platforms like Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry or CloudWatch.
• Database tech including SQL/NoSQL and APIs/Kafka familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, reliability, scalability and resilience of critical tech platforms.
• Design and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions.
• Develop dashboards and health metrics for real-time visibility.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce disruptions and improve stability.
• Identify and mitigate reliability risks across production environments.
• Conduct RCA and post-incident reviews with permanent resolutions.
• Maintain runbooks, playbooks and recovery procedures for fast recovery.
• Support 24x7 production environments and on-call rotations.
• Develop IaC-based automation for infrastructure and deployments.
• Build automated recovery mechanisms to reduce manual intervention.
• Champion engineering best practices across teams.
• Perform capacity planning and workload forecasting for demand.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks across apps, infra, DBs, integrations.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability.
