Job summary

Triumph Foods is seeking an experienced recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting for production and shipping roles. You will source, screen, interview, onboard, and retain high-quality hires, utilizing ATS and online databases to fill roles in a high-turnover environment.

You will travel to recruitment sites, present Triumph’s value proposition to candidates, and coordinate interviews with department managers. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong interviewing and data entry for ATS.
  • Experience with online recruitment databases (e.g., Indeed).
  • Ability to travel to recruitment site locations and represent the company at career fairs.

Job description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for professional as well as high-volume production recruitment. Accurately enter data and maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and hiring records. Ensure candidate selections best meet operational needs and employee success in a high turnover environment. Interview for production and shipping, and set times and dates for all other interviews for the corresponding department managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full-cycle recruiting includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and retaining all new hires.
  • Expertise in ATS (internal) and online recruitment databases (e.g., Indeed and text recruiting) for proactive candidate search.
  • Resume searches through Indeed for all positions. Be able to filter the search down to show results in the searched field.
  • Ability to represent Triumph Foods at career fairs of all types, including local career fairs for skilled/non-skilled workers, on college campuses, military and veteran-based job fairs, pop-up job fairs, etc.
  • Ability to travel to a variety of recruitment site locations.
  • Proactively search for various experiences to hire for all production openings.
  • Gather and review rehire files weekly.
  • Pre-screen applicants to determine who is a practical candidate for our production team.
  • Perform proper follow-ups to maintain interest.
  • Ability to present a strong employment value proposition to each candidate screened and recruited through understanding Triumph’s history, strategic direction and partners, benefit offerings, culture, and future opportunities.
  • Ability to conduct professional presentations and facilitate training opportunities.
  • Assist and direct potential applicants to the internal computer lab to ensure completion promptly.
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal relations with various departments, personnel, local plant, and business people in the community regarding recruiting functions.
  • Fast-paced environment that conducts high-volume interviews daily.
  • Retention strategies must be used to solve problems and continue improving their Triumph experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all applicant information and that of the Recruiting and HR departments.
  • Gathering and processing appropriate personal information for backgrounds, I-9, etc.
  • Officialize all new hire employment upon attendance of orientation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE:

Attention to detail. Ability to read people and their body language. Active listening. Ability to build rapport. Obtain general knowledge of the production floor positions and gang times to effectively communicate to applicants the expectations and possible duties. Understand the base knowledge in order to provide a window tour to hesitant applicants.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

None required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the skill set to effectively and clearly communicate with others within and outside of the Company. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of candidates. Bilingual skills are a plus—interpersonal communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language, such as safety files and handbooks. Must effectively communicate with applicants, production, and management personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to use computers and all standard programs the industry uses, including Microsoft Office, and learn and effectively use any other computer programs that are or will be made available, including the ATS in the HRIS system. Must be proficient at sourcing online recruitment databases (e.g., Indeed). Ability to understand other roles within the department and be able to help fill in during other members’ absences.
