Job summary

Triumph Foods, LLC in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs and project maintenance on plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems, including cutting and welding. You will work with minimal supervision and interact professionally with other departments to keep the plant operating safely and efficiently.

A High School Diploma is preferred, or 3 years of relevant experience in skilled trades.

This position will perform necessary repairs and project maintenance on systems including plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, cutting and welding, as directed by supervisor. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must establish and maintain effective and professional interaction with other departments and peers.

High School Diploma with course work in skilled crafts preferred, or 3 years experience using mechanical or other related skills; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb ladders and platforms, and enter confined spaces and wear all safety equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more.

Physical Demands

• Regularly exposed to cold/hot and/or humid conditions, climate extremes are found in all areas of the plant
• Frequently works near machinery with moving parts and vibration
• Regularly exposed to strong odors and the sight of blood
• Regular Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals, hazardous material and waste as well as fumes or airborne particles
• Risk of electrical shock and vibration
• Noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud when in the production area
