Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems UK is seeking a Production Quality Inspector to join the Production Quality Team in the United Kingdom. The role offers a salary range of £26,800 to £33,500 based on experience, with a proactive mindset and growth potential.

The successful candidate will perform line inspections, PDI, and end-of-line checks, ensuring quality and safety across build processes. Flexibility in hours and travel within and outside the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a design or manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of ISO9001:2015.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.
• Must be flexible in terms of working hours, willing to travel within and outside the UK.
• Quality Discipline with Quality Engineering Experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure in station/line compliance and snag generation.
• Perform cross-checks and compliance checks (WI).
• Carry out critical/safety quality in-build checkpoint inspections.
• Sign off on build-book quality critical/safety validation.
• Maintain 5S STN compliance at the station.
• Oversee PDI, hull inspection, and post-delivery checks.
• Conduct end-of-line and CAT inspections.
• Coordinate inspections for in-vehicle fitment and final validation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for in station/line compliance/snag generation, including;
• WI Cross Check/Compliance
• Critical/Safety Quality in-build checkpoint inspection (Build-plan call off)
• Build book quality critical/safety validation sign off
• 5S STN compliance
• Responsible for in station/line inspection activity on product/vehicles, including
• PDI (Post Delivery Inspection) Incoming Hull
• Hull armour gap/step inspection
• Hull tooling mark Inspection
• Hull spall liner Inspection
• On vehicle pre/post part fitment inspection/validation
• CAT inspection
• End Of Line inspection
