Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Production Quality Engineer for the Leo program. You will own quality outputs for critical sub-assemblies, define test methods, and lead MRB discussions to drive defect reduction.

Split shift role (4x10) with day and night blocks. You will work with Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering to qualify inspection methods and ensure a no-defect mindset across production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and tests.
• 2+ years leading APQP (PFMEA, CP, PFD, SPC, MSA).
• Experience performing RCA for functional test or mechanical failures.
• 2+ years data querying languages (SQL) or scripting (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
• 2+ years in semi-automated or automated process improvement with AI/vision systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Product QE over satellite mechanism assemblies, including process definition and validation for assembly and test methods.
• Lead MRB discussions to determine dispositions for nonconforming material.
• Investigate defects and drive root cause corrective actions.
• Develop inspection, monitoring, and verification methods for the Leo Production System.
• Own defect reduction and quality performance of mechanism sub-assemblies.
• Develop new process mechanisms for cross-functional teams.
• Perform daily defect resolution and engage cross-functional groups in quality improvements.
• Work within an AS9100 certified quality system.
