Job summary

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. is seeking a Production Prototype Technician whose primary duties include assembling new products and assisting in developing new product configurations and improving manufacturing methods.

The role involves troubleshooting, updating drawings, providing technical assistance, and ensuring safety and quality across production activities. Day shift, full-time schedule, with benefits as described in the company package.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in electronics or related field preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills.
• Ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization.
• Professionalism and diplomacy required.
• Strong organizational, planning, time and project management skills.
• Knowledge of MSWord, Outlook, Internet, Visio, Paint, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; manual dexterity required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new products.
• Assist in developing new product configurations and methods; generate part lists, documentation, test instructions and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems as needed.
• Maintain quality through testing and verification equipment.
• Assist in selecting tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment for production.
• Update drawings as needed for easier assembly.
• Provide technical assistance to personnel as required.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies; wear PPE as trained.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; may work in other departments.

Job description

Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc. is seeking a Production Prototype Technician whose primary duties will include being responsible for the assembly of new products and assisting in developing new product configurations and improving manufacturing methods.

Additional Duties:

• Assemble new products.
• Assist in the development of new product configurations and methods as required as well as engineering changes and special requirements acquired through internal or customer contact; generate part list, documentation, test instructions and safety procedures.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing and/or production problems as requested.
• Trouble-shoot products with failures.
• Sustain quality control through design and maintenance of test and verification appliances used during production.
• Assist in determining tools, jigs, fixtures, test equipment and other new or special equipment required to obtain specified production.
• Update drawings as needed per product, for ease of assemblies.
• Provide technical assistance to personnel as needed.
• Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as requested, directed, or assigned. May work in other manufacturing departments as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Associates degree in electronics or related field preferred
• Must have excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills along with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at various levels of the organization.
• Position requires professionalism & diplomacy.
• Work requires excellent organizational skills along with great attention to detail and a solid math aptitude as well as strong planning, time, and project management skills.
• Must have knowledge of typical business operations and working use of a variety of office and equipment database as well software as knowledge (MSWord, Outlook, computer lnternet, Visio, Paint, etc.)
• Must have demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematics; must possess physical and manual dexterity skills.

Position is a full-time, daylight position, M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
