Job summary

The Arkema Group in Alsip, Illinois seeks a manufacturing engineer to optimize plant operations and lead OEE improvements. This role focuses on process technology, control systems, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet safety, quality and cost targets.

You will drive scaling activities for new products, coordinate with RIT and technology centers, and ensure effective change management and documentation across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Delta-V process control system preferred.
• Familiarity with HES, process safety and LOPA concepts.
• Strong knowledge of process reliability, cost management and quality.

Responsibilities

• Understand process technology, equipment and control systems.
• Collaborate with operations and BU teams to optimize plant performance.
• Support daily production activities ensuring safety and cost targets.
• Lead site OEE and track improvements.
• Coordinate scale-up activities and new product development within the plant.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for process events.
• Support change management and documentation for HSEQ.
