The ideal candidate will have significant experience in automotive pre-production and manufacturing engineering, Automation expertise, and familiarity with 3D CAD software. Responsibilities include leading assembly lines and managing project schedules and budgets. The role is based in Georgetown, KY, and relocation is required.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve operating process plans for the Powertrain department.
Lead and implement engine/transmission machining or assembly lines.
Maintain schedule and budget for the project area.
Create and optimize standard tools and benchmarks.
Participate in cross-functional working groups.
Visualize plans and schedules for project consensus.
Analyze and communicate manufacturing issues clearly.

Responsibilities
Developing operating process plans to machine or assemble parts for assigned area of the Powertrain department
Leading, planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launching of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines
Creating and maintaining schedule and budget for assigned area
Develop / improve standard tools and benchmarks
Lead and participate in cross functional working groups across local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building to secure project priorities.
Analyze critical manufacturing issues and clearly communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders
Requirements
Automotive pre-production or manufacturing engineering experience
Automation experience including specification, tooling/jig design, equipment procurement, and installation
