Job summary

Grand Specialty is expanding and is looking for a highly motivated individual to assist with the production of our printed materials. The Production Assistant is responsible for preparing the printing area for production in a climate controlled environment.

You will wash screens, reclaim, emulsion, and prep for print, then remove finished material from the printer and organize it for storage. The position operates in a fast-paced printing environment where high volume runs are common.

Qualifications

• Must have a keen eye for detail and maintain quality.
• Printing/silk screening experience not required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean work areas and rest of the facility.
• Wash screens, reclaim, emulsion, and prep for print.
• Assist Production Specialist and monitor product quality.
• Maintain pace with product order volume.
• Carefully handle finished products during cooling and packaging.

The Production Assistant is responsible for preparing the printing area for production. Printing screens need to be washed, prepped and set for production. This position will need to remove the printed material from the printer and organize them for storage. This printing process occurs in a clean and climate controlled environment. Finished products must be handled with care while the sheets cool and a specific process for packaging and storage is necessary. Frequent high volume production runs provide a fast-paced work environment that will keep the Production/Printing Assistant challenged and engaged. Our printing method is identical to that of a silk screen printing.

DUTIES

• Prep and clean work areas, as well as, rest of facility
• Wash screens, reclaim, emulsion, prep for print
• Assist Production Specialist and manage quality of product
• Pace productivity with product order volume
• Participate as a valued team member to ensure highest quality of finished product

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strongest candidates will have a critical eye for detail and possess the ability to move quickly and consistently to duplicate high quality results.
• Previous printing/silk screening experience not necessary but preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
