Job summary

East Side Plating is seeking a Powder Coater for our 2nd shift to apply powder coat finishes on parts. You will set up and maintain spray booths and coating equipment while coordinating with racking staff to maintain throughput.

The role requires accuracy in visual inspection, thickness verification, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Strong teamwork, ability to read and follow written and oral instructions in English, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform visual inspection on parts prior to coating
• Ability to perform visual and coating measurement thickness inspection on coated parts
• Able to stand during shift
• Ability to lift parts and push carts up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, and work well with others
• Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment and receive direction from others

East Side Plating is hiring a Powder Coater for our 2nd shift operation. The Powder Coater applies powder coat paint to parts.

Responsibilities

• Setsup and maintains spray booth and coating equipment
• Assists in directing racking personnel to shift priorities as needed to maintain throughput
• Operates powder application gun/equipment to apply powder coating to parts being painted
• Makes recommendations for improvements and may assist in designing and manufacturing racks, fixtures, and masking used in the painting process
• Tracks and records work order information in computer
• Follows safety guidelines, achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards, maintains an acceptable dependability level, and must not pose risk to self or others

Qualifications

• Ability to perform visual inspection on parts prior to coating to prevent potential quality issues
• Ability to perform visual and coating measurement thickness inspection on coated parts to ensure parts meet customer specifications
• Able to work while standing during your shift
• Ability to lift parts and push carts up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, and work well with others
• Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment and receive direction from others

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous powdercoat or liquid coat production application experience
• Previous experience working with/inspecting cosmetic surfaces

Shift: Swing: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM

Wage: $22.00 per hour base wage + $1.65 per hour shift differential
