Job summary

The Arkema Group is seeking a Production Operator at our Birdsboro, PA plant to support daily operations. The role involves operating packaging equipment, moving materials between warehouses, and assisting with dryer operations while following all safety and quality procedures.

A union position, with on-site benefits, awaits the right candidate. Wage starts at 31.02 USD per hour with a 0.90 increase for 2nd shift and 1.15 for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Must demonstrate basic math skills.
• Must be willing to be subject to pre-employment testing including drug and alcohol and physical testing.
• Prefer manufacturing or chemical plant production experience; similar skills/experience will be considered.
• Prefer forklift experience.
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and maintain daily packaging efficiencies.
• Transfer finished materials between warehouses.
• Assist emptying finished product from industrial dryers.
• Comply with all technical, quality control, product manufacturing and safety procedures for Packaging.
• Operate powered industrial trucks.
• Have physical dexterity for climbing stairs, ladders and heavy lifting.
• Basic computer knowledge for daily tasks.
• Other operator duties as assigned.

Our polymer manufacturing plant in Birdsboro, PA is looking for a Production Operator to support plant operations. Major highlights regarding employment as a Production Operator:

Wage:$31.02/hr to start plus $.90 for 2nd shift and $1.15 for 3rd shift.

Shift:8hrs each shift, rotates weekly between 1st, 2nd, 3rd;

Schedule: 5-7 days in a row with days off in-between rotations (example below)

Overtime:average of 4-8 hours weekly, paid for over 8 hours worked in a day and over 40 weekly

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must demonstrate basic math skills
• Must be willing to be subject to pre-employment testing including drug and alcohol and physical testing.
• Preferexperience inmanufacturing type of work andchemical plant production experience strongly desired; similar skills/experience will be considered.
• Preferfork lift (tow motor) experience
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime
