Job summary

Jackson Services is seeking a Production Plant Floater to support multiple production departments as needed. You will rotate through Soil Room, Sorting, Wash Aisle, Drying, Finishing, Packing and Shipping, ensuring quality and meeting daily goals in a fast-paced facility.

Ideal candidates bring flexibility, reliability, and willingness to learn new tasks while following safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, laundry, or production preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn multiple job functions and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Rotate between production departments as assigned by management.
• Perform duties in various work areas including Soil Room, Sorting, Wash Aisle, Drying, Finishing/Folding, Packing, Shipping and Loading.
• Follow established production standards and quality requirements.
• Assist with maintaining workflow and meeting daily production goals.
• Inspect products for quality and report issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and use PPE.
• Assist with cross-training and learning new tasks and equipment.
• Support team members and help address production bottlenecks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Production Plant Floater is responsible for supporting various production departments as needed to ensure efficient plant operations. This position requires flexibility, dependability, and the ability to learn multiple job functions throughout the facility. Floaters may work in the soil room, sorting, washing, drying, finishing, packing, loading, or other production areas based on daily business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Rotate between production departments as assigned by management.
• Perform duties in various work areas including:

  • Shipping and Loading
• Follow established production standards and quality requirements.
• Assist with maintaining workflow and meeting daily production goals.

• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with cross-training and learning new tasks and equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

• Industrial production/laundry facility.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, noise, dust, lint, and cleaning chemicals.
