Job summary

Kerfkore Company in the United States is seeking a Production Assistant to support various positions across the plant and learn all processes. The selected candidate will be placed where needed to keep production flowing and will rotate through duties such as operating machinery, assembling orders, and maintaining the work area.

The role requires ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand for long periods, and follow safety and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Experience in manufacturing or related position is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn multiple processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality finished goods and ensure safe machine operation.
• Follow GMP and company safety rules.
• Perform duties to keep production moving and learn Floater position.
• Maintain and clean work areas and process materials for shipping.
• Assemble processed items for shipment and operate forklift as needed.

Job description

Responsible for working in various positions throughout the day. This individual has a working knowledge of all processes throughout the plant and can perform various functions. The Production Assistant has no assigned job other than to be placed where he/she is needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Producing high-quality finished goods and ensuring efficient and safe machine operation
• Following all Company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Able to perform all necessary functions to ensure production keeps moving.
• Responsible for learning all processes to perform in the Floater position.
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning the work area.
• Responsible for cleaning materials to be processed as finished goods.
• Assembles orders that are processed (standard items) together to be shipped.
• Perform the duties of production forklift operator as needed.

Qualifications

• Work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
• Must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of seventy pounds
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.
• Mechanical aptitude
• A great sense of humor
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time

Work Environment

Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Noise Level: Medium Loud

Position Type/Hours of Work

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Salary/Benefits

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Based on experience.
