Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Manager, Production Planning for our Mechanicsburg, PA retort plant. You will drive planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics strategies to keep operations efficient and customers supplied.

The role connects manufacturing, procurement, transportation, vendors, and customers to balance demand with production capabilities and ensure timely availability of materials for operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in production planning with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and production throughput.
• Strong supervision, coaching, and personnel management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping/receiving to meet customer requirements at lowest cost while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Lead and develop assigned staff, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee procurement, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving.
• Coordinate procurement of raw ingredients and packaging materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies by supervisors and staff.
• Oversee inventory levels to safeguard operational and financial goals.
• Participate in Kaizen events, corrective actions, and audits.
• Maintain programs and records to keep information current.
