Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Mechanicsburg, PA, seeks a Manager, Production Planning to drive planning, procurement, inventory and logistics strategies for our retort plant producing dairy-based beverages.

Responsibilities include managing shipping/receiving, supervising staff, coordinating raw material procurement, and ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining quality standards. Growth opportunities exist within a dynamic dairy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or related curriculum preferred.
• 5–8 years of production planning or related experience with leadership attributes; 1+ year of manager experience preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and its impact on throughput.
• Knowledge of planning and production methodologies.
• Leadership and coaching skills; supervision and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping/receiving to meet customer requirements at lowest cost.
• Supervise and develop assigned employees; coordinate with HR and plant management.
• Oversee procurement, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving activities.
• Coordinate procurement of raw ingredients and packaging materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; provide interpretation when needed.
• Oversee inventory levels to meet operational and financial goals.
• Lead kaizen events, corrective actions and audits.
• Develop and maintain programs and records for accurate information.
